Lateral is pleased to host Ermes Ermes during the months of November and December. The gallery will present a solo exhibition by Valerie Giampietro.

This collaboration was born out of the need to highlight the network of relationships and bond between different figures, who are part of the scene of contemporary art in Roma grounded in a shared cultural framework.

Valerie Giampietro (b. 1978, Roma) lives and works in Rome.

Her practice focuses on the exploration of light and natural expression, using analogue techniques. Landscapes, faces or natural elements are part of a spontaneous universe collected in a personal archive. Her work was recently exhibited at Ermes Ermes in Roma; SOLDES in Los Angeles, alongside the artist book I’m Afraid of Flowers and at Chez Paint in Black, Turin 

Her photographs has been featured in Flashart Italia, Alla Carta, Abitare, Vogue, L’Officiel, Spur Magazine, Grazia, and D-Repubblica.
