Donne di Giuseppe Verdi si propone di riscoprire i valori ed i simboli alla base dell’opera di Verdi interpretandoli secondo un approccio visivo contemporaneo.
La mostra è composta di fotografie e video creati da Patrizia Genovesi.

Giuseppe Verdi ‘s women is a visual project aims at re-discovering Giuseppe Verdi’s immortal characters from an original, contemporary viewpoint, by interpreting them under a visual approach conveyed by photography and video shooting on the occasion of the “Bicentenario Verdiano”
Patrizia Genovesi presents a gallery of original videos and large size, fine art photographs inspired by characters depicted in Verdi’s operas.
Aiming to return as much as possible of the characters’ drama, Genovesi shot her models while dancing rather than posing still in order to maximize the tension and emphasize the action. The expressiveness of her symbolic images explains their strong visual and emotional impact, which is further emphasized by the large size of the pictures, black and white and color photos.
